Free Range Arcade was a blast

Free Range ArcadeTwo Scoop was invited to come show of our games at Free Range Arcade.

Free Range Arcade is an event coordinated by the people over at BIGNight, Bloomington Independent Game Night which is Bloomington, Indiana’s indie game dev community.

BIGNight also put on SigmaPlay, for the first time this year back in may, which was the first game developer’s conference we attended.

Bloomington, IN City Hall Atrium Free Range Arcade 2014 Free Range Arcade was held at the Bloomington city hall. I was lucky enough to be able to car pool with Richie and Tom from Run Jump Dev who were also going to show of SuperSoul’s new game Speakeasy. They came by and picked me up in Louisville on their way from Lexington, and off we went. Kids playing Speakeasy by SuperSoul We set up our booths and got our games running, and kids and adults starting checking out what we had.

Mommy’s Best Games was also there showing off Pig Eat Ball! Be sure to vote for Pig Eat Ball on Steam Greenlight!

Pig Eat Ball by Mommys Best Games I was pleased with the number of great folks that were there, it is always great to have non-devs play your games after all – they are really your audience. Lots of kids played and enjoyed SyRUSH, and Stanley Squeaks on the iPad and Scoop Machine I had set up. Alex Bezuska of Two Scoop Games at the Free Range Arcade in Bloomington, IN

I also put out an email signup sheet for a contest to win a free promo code for SyRUSH, which went well. I added a check box for signing up for our email list for future game updates so it was optional, this is a great way to get an email audience going.

I enjoyed the event and hope to go again next time they have it. I would also like to try to coordinate an event like this for Louisville sometime soon!
